Why was this site created?

To create a valuable portal of information for the residents that live in the area of William and Beaver Streets.  Lower Manhattan residents will benefit from a complete directory of shops and services that are not tied to advertising dollars.  Most portal sites will only list businesses that pay them to advertise. Our goal is to have 100% of all places of interest covered on this site.

How will the site be funded?

All businesses and service providers will be listed on the site, as they submit complete information to the editor.  Business wanting to be featured on the website in more visible ways will be charged a reasonable annual fee for enhanced listings.  These advertising dollars will help keep this a viable project for the neighborhood.

Why is this site better than other NYC web directories?

The site will be optimized for search unlike the other directories.  This means that the information contained on these pages will be found when people search for businesses and services in the William - Beaver neighborhood.  This will make the content listings more valuable because this site will help local businesses grow.  We will prove that this site will be a valuable tool for the residents of lower Manhattan as well as the people in business to service this community.
